Mr. Smith heads the firm's Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights and Litigation Groups, and has extensive experience in civil litigation of all kinds, as well as complex Chapter 11 reorganizations, assignments for the benefit of creditors, insolvency related litigation and out-of-court workouts.  He represents plaintiffs, defendants, debtors-in-possession, creditors' committees, liquidators, secured and unsecured creditors, and entities acquiring assets from debtors in bankruptcy.

Mr. Smith's recent matters include:

  • Representation of the debtor in the Chapter 11 reorganizations of Micron Separations, Inc., Auburn International, Inc. and Lewis J. Busconi et al.
  • Representation of the Official Committees of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 reorganizations of Gitto Global Corporation, John Harvard Brew House, L.L.C., KomTek, Inc., ServiSense.com, Inc., TalkPoint Communications, Inc. and Franklin Environmental Services, Inc.
