Members of Jager Smith P.C.'s Real Property Law Group represent a variety of businesses, banks and other lenders, developers, contractors, marketing companies and individuals in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, lease negotiations (including sale/leaseback), construction and permanent loans (including HUD multi-family insured financings), project development (commercial and residential), condominiums, mortgage workouts and foreclosures, and subdivision control law.  The firm has experience in zoning and land use permitting, landlord/tenant law and Land Court proceedings.

The Real Property Law Group, working with the Business and Personal Planning Group, advises clients on title holding options giving effect to the clients' overall business, tax and estate planning objectives.  Working with the attorneys in our Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Group, the attorneys in the Real Property Law Group represent both lenders and borrowers engaged in the restructuring of debt and "workout" of problem or non-performing loans, including representation of lenders and borrowers involved in mortgage foreclosures.  Our attorneys also have significant experience in representing both landlords and tenants concerning all aspects of commercial lease preparation and negotiations.

In addition to expertise in the purely "legal" issues of real estate, Jager Smith P.C. is prepared to render advice and consult on the "business" issues facing real estate owners, including marketing strategies, evaluation of general market conditions, and assistance in the placement of long- or short-term secured real estate financing and the creation of contracts concerning real estate related issues.
